Yadea Collaborates with Madrid Food Bank to Promote New Urgent Proximity Distribution in Spain
Madrid, November 13, 2023 - Yadea, the world's leading electric two-wheeler brand, and the Madrid Food Bank Foundation have announced their alliance to collaborate against food waste and promote the new logistics of urgent and proximity distribution, in response to the new Law on the Prevention of Food Loss and Waste in Spain.
Once this regulation comes into effect, restaurants, hotels, and other establishments are obligated to have prevention plans in place and to donate surplus food to various organizations, such as food banks. The objective is for these organizations to efficiently deliver the food in optimal condition to a maximum number of people in need as quickly as possible.
In response to this new mission, Yadea Spain has donated smart and professional delivery e-mopeds, Yadea Y1S Pro, to the Madrid Food Bank to enhance its urban distribution capacity and efficiency in the new distribution of food products among people in need in the surrounding areas. Yadea Y1S Pro, equivalent to 125cc motorcycles and with a range of 80 km, are equipped with front carriers and high-capacity storage trunks.
