So I’ve got this one friend — super into privacy. Like, VPN-on-at-the-gym type of guy. I owed him some ETH, and he straight up refused to use any exchange that asked for ID. Said “if it needs KYC, it’s a trap.” I rolled my eyes at first, but then realized… maybe he’s not totally wrong?
Haha I know the type. Mine literally sends voice notes through encrypted email. But honestly, I get it. Some of these KYC processes are wild — selfie, passport, proof of address, then still waiting 2 days. I had to swap coins last month and just couldn’t be bothered. Ended up Googling “crypto exchange no KYC” just to avoid the whole circus.
