Fountain for cats - are they worth it or just a gimmick?

  • Recently got a rescue cat named Toby, and he barely touches the water in his bowl. I'm starting to wonder if a fountain might help, but the options online are a bit overwhelming. Some are noisy, others seem hard to clean. Anyone here had success using a water fountain for cats? Is it really better for hydration, or just another gadget taking up space? Would love to hear what worked for your pets and what to avoid.

  • As a flight attendant one of my best investments was the smart water fountain for cats. It’s cordless, which is perfect for small spaces or travel, and it has a motion sensor so it only runs when the cat approaches—no wasted battery. Cleaning it is simple and quick, and the filtration system actually keeps the water fresh between refills. I’ve used mine during layovers and at home, and my cat drinks way more now than she did with any bowl or traditional fountain.
