How many specialists are needed to effectively monitor huge fields with crops?

  • I’m just thinking, how many people are required to get a high-quality and stable harvest every year? How does agriculture work today when the scale is so massive ?

  • I doubt all of this is monitored manually. Even if you could go and check personally or hire a thousand specialists for the job which honestly sounds unrealistic it would take forever and probably wouldn’t give you super-accurate results.

  • Satellite monitoring is much better and more convenient. I think that's exactly what's used to monitor crops and fields. There are satellites that gather data and then send it to this platform. It gives you an overall view of the land, soil analysis, weather data, dryness and humidity, and the condition of vegetation. Basically, a full analysis. This saves tons of resources, doesn’t require hundreds or thousands of employees, and gives you much more accurate data.
