ArchiMate is particularly suited for enterprise-level projects as it offers a structured and layered approach, which helps in aligning IT strategies with business objectives. I find ArchiMate more effective for enterprise projects, especially after taking the Advised Skills ArchiMate 3 Foundation and Practitioner training at https://www.advisedskills.com/enterprise-architecture/archimate-3-foundation-and-practitioner-level-1-and-level-2. This training deepened my understanding of how to leverage ArchiMate's capabilities effectively, especially in environments where a clear connection between business and IT is essential.
In comparison, UML is excellent for detailed software design, BPMN excels in process modeling, and SysML is tailored for systems engineering. ArchiMate’s strength lies in its ability to integrate these perspectives, making it ideal for projects that require a high-level strategic overview.
