For as long as I can remember I have worn glasses but have recently considered changing to contact lenses. I think that glasses are more suitable for everyday wear, but then I just get in the way, especially if I am physical. Tried contacts one time and had the issue of my eyes getting too dry. What do you all think? Is it true that contacts come in handy for day-to-day things or am I better off with my frames?
I had the same debate! I used to wear glasses all the time but attempted with contacts last year. First I did not like them because they were not easy to regulate, although now I like them for such things as working out or being outside. As for the dry eye problem, there is no cure, only a method of prevention and I chose to wear daily disposable contacts which helped a great deal. Again, I thought it important to look for Optometrists in Smithers, BC. They made good suggestions on which lenses to buy and I examined the pros and cons of each.
I’ve never really thought about switching from glasses to contacts, but it’s interesting to hear how different people handle it. I guess it really depends on your lifestyle and what’s comfortable for you. I’ve stuck with glasses mainly because I’m used to them, and they work for what I need.
